The Lowlands Decolonial Fashion Network is the Dutch hosting of the GFA24 and is shared by five communities in the Netherlands... FASHIONCLASH in Maastricht... Tailors & Wearers in Rotterdam... The Crafts Council in Utrecht... The Linen Project in Arnhem... and the Research Collective for Decoloniality & Fashion registered in Utrecht... Together they are reflecting on four topics in the Dutch context through a decolonial lens: fashion, cultural heritage, crafts and natural resources/local knowledges.
In the course of 2024, four communities will organise a one-day in-person field-trip to host the other communities and to address the four topics as part of a larger conversation.
